Club Charter

To everyone involved with F.C Spartans this is a moral obligation, setting out from day one, what is expected.

The Coaches
The coaching staffs aim is to emphasize personal and team improvement from the earliest age. If 'to win' merely means 'to beat', then the player will invariably experience frustration and disappointment which can increase the chances of them dropping out of the sport. The clubs aim is to develop an attitude of personal improvement over and above winning.
The “communication” door is always open for the players; we will not ignore anyone who needs help. We are always looking for the players to contribute to their own football development.
The coaching staff will lead the players with open hands and not pointed fingers. The staff can motivate the players with kind words more than you can with a whip. We feel the ability to communicate with the players will determine our success.

As a Spartan we expect:
100% effort at all times whether it is training or a match nothing else will be acceptable.
A Spartan must compete. “Winning isn’t everything, wanting to win is”.
Treat the game with the respect it deserves, i.e. teammates, coaching staff; officials and parents are not there to be mistreated.
Wearing of correct equipment at all times as well as punctuality and attendance is vital in the coaching process (phone calls only take a minute).
You are part of a squad; the modern game is about more than just 11 players.
You will work hard to earn your shirt, but you should aim to work twice as hard to keep it.
“The mind is a parachute, it works better when it is open”. As a Spartan you should be open minded to different training methods, be positive and enthusiastic.

As a parent/guardian of a Spartan
Positive encouragement for all F.C Spartan players not just your child.
NO COACHING FROM THE SIDELINES, this can be confusing for the younger age groups, also we as coaches look for the players themselves to see and learn from their own mistakes
The coaching staff inform the players what to do with a mistake “recognize it, admit it, learn from it, forget it”.
Remember your children are playing for enjoyment of the game, keep it that way!
Helping out in anyway whether putting goals up for training to taking down of nets on match day can be of great help.
As a parent/guardian of a F.C Spartan player YOU WILL TAKE PART IN FUND RAISING whether it be scratch cards to bingo nights, failure to do so will incur a donation from yourself to your age group as agreed by management (up to a maximum of £20).
As a parent the club look to you to lead by example on the line to officials.
Excellence is all about attitude; attitude is all about environment, parents influence the environment.
The club are not a babysitting service.
